Room D13 had an aroma resembling a rubber floor / new product. A source could not be identified. An observation, no action necessary.
Room D16 had a wicker basket on top of the supply diffuser of the ventilation unit located along the exterior. Besides partially obstructing air flow, during cooling, the basket material could become damp and form mold growth. School administration is to remind staff not to place items on top of the unit's air supply diffuser.

An air freshener aroma was detected in room B59. The air freshener was not observed. School administration is to remind staff air fresheners of any kind are not permitted and is to be removed if present. Air fresheners may mask an odor of concern or be an irritant to others.
Room D16 had a large stuffed bear on a file cabinet and several other stuffed animals along the windows. School administration is to determine if these are required for educational instruction and if not have them removed or ensure they are vacuumed periodically.

The dehumidifiers present in portables 190 and 191 were not turned on at the time of the inspection (inspector turned on at the time of the finding). The relative humidity in portable 190 was at 68% and portable 191 was 72%. The dehumidifiers have been temporarily provided to portable classrooms to prevent possible mold growth due to extended elevated interior relative humidity (70%+) from the ventilation unit's fan being set to "on" instead of "auto" as a COVID precaution (ensures constant introduction of outdoor air).
