Remediation
Review of the cabinetry with the cove base removed revealed deterioration of the wood components. Due to the deterioration of wood components and elevated moisture, removal and replacement of the bottom of the wood cabinetry was performed.
Additional loose floor tile were identified and removed.
The cabinetry had to be pulled away from the wall in order to remove deteriorated component revealing a previously inaccessible drywall wall. The revealed drywall wall had observable water stains and was removed out of an abundance of caution. No visible mold growth was observed on the removed materials.
New wall and floor materials were installed and cabinetry reinstalled. Plumbing reconnected water to outlet.
