Finding: Stevens Forest Elementary School: Portable 104 (FXSFES202300226A)

There are three shaggy throw rugs. The two pink ones have rolled up corner(s) and/or edge(s) that present a potential tripping concern. It is the opinion of the inspector shaggy carpeting is difficult to clean compared to a flat type carpeting style, especially these smaller ones since the strands of the shaggy fabric may catch in the vacuum, thus the carpet may not be stable to receive proper cleaning when moving the vacuum beater bar across the unsecure rug. School administration is to inform staff to remove shag rugs and if necessary to replace with flat a carpet style.
