Fabric strand window dressing. If not properly maintained, they can accumulate allergens that when disturbed may render the allergens airborne and possibly impacting individuals with allergy sensitivities. It is not the responsibility of custodial staff to clean the window dressing. It is the opinion of the inspector this form of window dressing has the potential to collect more dust than a solid sheet of material used as a curtain. In any event, it is not recommended to add window dressing of any kind if not already part of physical building construction. School administration is to inform staff to remove the current type of window dressing.
