Visible mold on surfaces due to elevated relative humidity/dew point
Remediation
A board-approved restoration contractor cleaned/disinfected materials (desks, cabinets, instruments, etc.) in Room B11 and B-13. Air scrubbers equipped with High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters were operated within the spaces during the cleaning. Air scrubbers were operated within the spaces for approximately 24-hours after the cleaning.
Air scrubbers were also delivered and operated for approximately 24-hours to rooms 144 and 145.
Building Services and the Office of Environment will continue to monitor the situation during the cooling season and make necessary corrections to eliminate excessive humidity levels within the classrooms. A review of the ventilation systems that services the rooms will occur.
