Building Services scheduled a roofer (the contractor that installed the roof) to remove a portion of the roof in the location of the thermal anomaly.
The contractor identified suspect mold growth on the underside of the roof membrane, wet wood, and wet insulation. The suspect mold was cleaned by the contractor. The wet wood and wet insulation was removed and replaced.
The cause of the moisture intrusion was identified and corrected by the contractor.
