Finding: Pointers Run Elementary School: Portable - Girls Bathroom (FXPRES2019001192)

A board-approved restoration contractor removed the vinyl sheet flooring, impacted sub-flooring, impacted drywall, and impacted cove base. After these materials were removed, the backside of the drywall in the adjoining closet was also found to be impacted by mold. This drywall was removed as well. Additionally, the fiberglass insulation below the flooring was found to be wet (no mold growth). The wet insulation was removed. After the removal, the wood studs and framing was dried using fans and dehumidifiers. Once dry, these materials were encapsulated.
