Visible mold on surfaces due to elevated relative humidity/dew point
Remediation
A board-approved restoration contractor cleaned/disinfected the space. An air scrubber (HEPA filtration) was operated within the space during the cleaning. A dehumidification unit was also installed and will be left in place until approximately October.
It should also be noted that the Office of the Environment recommended portable dehumidifiers for portable classrooms system-wide. A system-wide roll-out of portable dehumidifiers began the weekend of August 28.
