In room 14, a table that is apparently used (student chairs and laptop) is placed near the classroom's air return grille and HCPSS issued portable HEPA filter. School administration is to inform staff to relocate the table so individuals are not impacted by airflow and/or draft. Additionally, the air purifier should be placed at the opposite side of the room as the return grille if practical.

Air freshener scent detected in the front office area. Two scented oil wicking devices were observed (AP office on wall mounted shelf, and secretary desk). Air freshening / odorizing devices are not permitted and are to be removed as they can mask an odor of concern and/or be a nuisance / irritant to other individuals. Food items were readily accessible to pest/rodents in physical education office and room 68. School administration is to inform staff to place food items in a durable and sealable container (i.e. Tupperware) and place within a cabinet or drawer. Several stuffed animals were observed in room 14. Fabric bean bags were observed in rooms 34 (yellow bag is acceptable since vinyl and can be readily cleaned; blue bag not recommended) and 53. Carpet squares were observed in rooms 68 and 91. Media center had a large section of artificial turf having vinyl bean bags. Although the vinyl bean bags are acceptable in media center, the cleanliness of the artificial turf over time is questionable not knowing the recommended cleaning methods for such a surface. School administration is to determine the educational value of the items in question (fabric bean bags, carpet squares, stuffed animals, artificial turf). School administration is then to reduce, replace, remove, and/or implement a cleaning program (not the responsibility of custodial staff). It is recommended the artificial turf be removed unless Custodial Services Office has a means to properly clean (general and even biological fluids / bloodborne pathogens) and willing to have their school based custodians generally clean. In addition, the artificial turf would also have to be investigated if it meets fire codes as for flame and smoke rating to be allowed indoors.
No stained or damage ceiling tiles
Yes

Small water stains on ceiling tiles were observed in rooms 18 (near lockers at ceiling grid marked VAV), 36 (near a sensor), 78, and cafeteria (near projector screen), and front office reception area (near exterior wall). If not already being addressed, school custodial staff is to submit a work order for Building Maintenance to assess and correct source of the leak. Dust collection around perimeter of sprinkler head cover/cap in restrooms in back pod of school and outside gymnasium. A gap most likely present between the white circular cover/cap and drywall ceiling with passing airflow depositing dust over time. Per Plumbing Shop, school custodians can gently (do not hit with force) clean around the sprinkler head cover / cap since the sprinkler heads pop out due to heat sensitivity from a fire.

A labeled HCPSS chemical spray bottled was readily accessible to students in room 18. School administration is to inform teaching staff should they have HCPSS chemical products for additional COVID cleaning purposes to keep them out of reach of students, such as placing in a cabinet when not being directly used. Room 83 had an aerosol disinfecting spray readily accessible in the classroom. School administration is to inform staff that personal aerosol disinfectant sprays are not permitted and must be removed from the building.
