Mold growth observed on drywall ceiling near the return vents is the bathroom next to room 006, the bathroom across from 42, and Room 012. The ceilings were determined to be dry with the use of a moisture meter. • The cause of the mold growth has not been confirmed however, the cause is suspected to be related to elevated relative humidity or thermal differentials in vicinity of the return air vents. Building Maintenance (HVAC) has made adjustments to the HVAC controls in these areas. The impacted areas will be cleaned and encapsulated with a mold inhibiting encapsulant. The impacted areas will be monitored (particularly in the cooling season) by the Office of the Environment to see if the control modifications were effective.
