Heavy amount of mineral salts were observed on the cement block wall below a chalkboard and near a window in room 111. The chalkboard was removed to observe for mold growth. Mold growth was not observed on the wall or backing of the chalkboard. However, past moisture intrusion was observed (swelled backing of chalkboard and dried blistering paint on the wall). The findings appear to be from past damage and resolved when roofing system was replaced. A work order will be generated to refinish walls after receiving results from chalkboard adhesive dot samples to identify if they contain asbestos or not. Work order 252616.
