Mineral salts (from moisture intrusion of failed window flashing details) observed forming around windows of room A07 (front left window), cafeteria room C10 (left window, upper right side), and hallway across from room D08 (left window, upper right side). Until Building Maintenance corrects source and refinish interior damage, school administration is to make staff aware not to attach items with an impermeable barrier (i.e. laminate, plastic, glossy coating) on exterior walls near windows since mold can form behind the items against the block wall. The items may serve as a vapor barrier and trap water vapor. Work order 234544 issued to Building Maintenance to review.

Food accessible to pests were observed in rooms B04, C10, and D05. If food items are necessary to be in the classroom, they are to be in sealed containers. School administration is to inform staff. Some of the media shelving had moderate dust accumulation. School custodial staff is to clean at this time and then follow scheduled cleaning frequency. Aerosol disinfectant sprays and/or non-HCPSS chemicals were observed in rooms B62 and D29. These were also accessible to students (not stored out of reach). An empty spray bottle was observed at sink in room D05. School administration is to inform staff these products are not allowed within the building. Only use HCPSS issued cleaning / disinfecting products. Spray bottles are to be properly labeled with manufacturer's secondary container labels and must be a HCPSS custodial product.

Student desks were up against the ventilation equipment along the wall in room D05. However, desks should not be placed near the ventilation unit to avoid potential drafts from the supply air discharge to nearby students. School administration is to inform staff to ensure students are not bothered by the airflow and move desks away from the ventilation as necessary.
